Instructions were clear. (I had been in home improvement, so assembling and installing this unit was not a problem - but a novice might need to get some advice on assembly.) The awning is well constructed. It came preassembled. I needed to take it apart to bring it up to my home since it could not be delivered to the front door several hundred feet away. Installation was simple but needed a few extra hands for lifting. This product could be improved by sending touch up paint. Good product for a reasonable price.
