1) Make sure that you have sufficient mounting space for your awning.
4" minimum mounting space F is required above a window or in-swinging door.
For mounting purposes, every awning is 4.5" wider than the window size it represents. (Example: a 3-foot Charleston® awning is actually 40.5" wide)
Except for entries with out-swinging doors, the drop A is a personal preference. Hint: The greater the drop, the more energy savings but less interior light.
For out-swinging doors, the entire awning should fit above the door, which means the drop A = 0".
2) Select the awning size from the drop-down menu to the right.
Note that the actual awning width is 4.5" greater than the nominal width in the menu.
Note that the height H includes a 6" valance for awnings with height 18" and 24" and a 8" valance for awnings with height 44".
Projection is the distance the awning projects out from the building.
