We bought this particular awning because of its clean lines and reasonable cost. Turned out pretty good and we did the installation ourselves (with three big strapping neighbor kids to help get it up.)
We did something a little different on the post footings. We used building piers sunk in the ground, topped with 4" 4x4s held by the pier straps, with 3-1/4"x1/4" stainless screws to hold the post flanges. Talk about solid!
Custom-made marquee style patio covers are constructed of .032 gauge aluminum interlocking roof pans. The white finish is electrostatically applied and baked on. The marquee features a built-in gutter system and comes complete with a downspout. With a snow rating of 60 pounds per square foot, the AC4000 meets all inland building codes.
